Consortia due to submit documents to 2012 client by midday. Decsion due by September

The quartet of consortia bidding to programme manage the Olympics are due to submit bids to client the Olmpics Delivery Authority tomorrow. The documents are due to be delivered by midday. This will be followed by interviews held with the teams bidding for the prestigious role on the 1 and 2 August. The final decision on the winning bid will then be announced in mid-September.

News of the programme management role follows a busy couple of weeks for the Olympics procurement programme. This week the ODA advertised for bidders for the main stadium job and released a new timetable for the schedule for the construction work needed for the 2012 event.

The four teams bidding for the programme management role are:

  • Bechtel
  • G3, comprising Faithful+Gould, Gleeds, Sir Steve Redgrave, Amec, Balfour Beatty and Jacobs Babtie
  • CLM, comprising CH2M Hill International, Laing O'Rourke, Mace and Davis Langdon
  • Legacy, comprising Franklin + Andrews, Capita Symonds, Bovis Lend Lease and Kellogg Brown & Root
