“Eye-wateringly beautiful” was the judges’ description of the Potterrow Development at the University of Edinburgh, winner of the British Council for Offices’ National Corporate Workplace Award

Architect for the BREEAM excellent scheme was Bennetts Associates while Buro Happold was the services and structural engineer. The building, which houses the School of Informatics, has displacement ventilation, with its corridors acting as extract ducts to channel return air to the atrium, exposed concrete soffits and CHP.

Judges also praised for the project for respecting its world heritage site surroundings.
