BSD has welcomed three more top industry figures to its editorial advisory board, which is helping to steer the direction of the new magazine

The original board of eight has been joined by Martin Clowes, managing director of Elementa Consulting; Peter Williams, director at Arup; and Rajesh Sinha, technical director at Bailey Teswaine.

Clowes (pictured) trained in mechanical engineering in Birmingham and later became Middle East manager for John Bradley Associates. He returned to Britain and set up his own business, which grew into Elementa Consulting. He cites architectural integration and pragmatic decision-making as among his chief interests.

Williams worked through a technician training course before taking a degree in environmental engineering and has spent most of his working life in multi-discipline design teams.

He was recently appointed leader of Arup’s building engineering group in London, which combines core structural and building engineering skills with specialist services. He feels strongly about being able to deliver what is designed.

Sinha spearheads NG Bailey’s ICT arm, working on the company’s strategy as well as the ICT product and service portfolio. He oversaw the technical design of the exemplar school at the Building Research Establishment and is now involved in designing an office in Strathclyde for a BREEAM excellent rating.

Andy Pearson, editor of BSD, said: “The addition of these three industry experts to our editorial advisory panel will bring new ideas to the magazine and help us to keep in touch with this fast-moving sector.”
