Contractor will provide FM services across London and the South-east

A Carillion joint venture has won a facilities management deal with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation worth up to £200m.

Under the deal, Carillion will work across 87 defence sites across London and the South-east.

Services offered will include catering, retail and leisure and hotel and mess services. The five-year contract will go live in September and will employ over 1,800 people.

Richard Howon, Carillion chief executive, said: “We look forward to building on our existing strong relationship with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation, and to working with the DIO and senior military personnel to deliver a range of services that will help to improve the lives of service personnel.”

The contract is one of seven deals the DIO plans to let out under its HESTIA facilites management programme.
