Mendip council approves plan for new music building and sports pavilion
This Eric Parry-designed music facility in Somerset has been given planning permission. Mendip District Council gave the green light to the £4.5m Cedars Hall building for Wells Cathedral School.
The scheme includes space for rehearsal, performance and recording and can hold an audience of around 340. The site will also include a new sports pavilion.
Eric Parry said: “The progression of the scheme is a significant step towards adding to the school's rich history. The new building will create fantastic, modern interior spaces whilst also making a confident architectural statement that is in tune with its surroundings.”
