Exclusive: Kier wins two batches of priority schools, worth £123m, while Interserve also wins a batch, worth £48m

Kier has won two batches of priority schools worth £123m, with Interserve also picking up a £48m batch, Building can reveal.

The Education Funding Agency confirmed that Kier has beaten Wates to be chosen for the East 2 batch of priority schools, worth £60m, with the contractor also beating Bam Construction for the North East 2 batch of schools, worth £63m.

But Kier lost out to Interserve for the North West 3 batch of schools, worth £48m.

The three batches are the latest capital-funded schools to come to market through the government’s Priority School Building Programme.
