Architect scraps glass tower plans in favour of design that includes only low-rise buildings

This is the latest incarnation of Rafael Viñoly’s proposals for Battersea Power Station in south-west London, which will include 3,700 homes and 1.5 million ft² of office space.

Now stripped of its 300m glass eco-tower, the masterplan ensures that no buildings on the site will be taller than the power station. Developer Treasury Holdings UK will invite the public to examine the scheme this weekend.
