Contractor returns to Harwell Science Campus

Willmott Dixon has been appointed to build a £24m science building at Oxfordshire’s Harwell Science Campus.

The firm won the contract to build the Harwell Facilities Building - which will provide space for researchers to test and commission new scientific equipment - through Scape’s major works framework.

The contractor is working with a design team that includes Oxford Architects, Clarke Nicholls Marcel and Aecom. Work is expected to complete by next Spring.

Willmott Dixon has already completed the RAL Space facility elsewhere on the campus, which provides satellite design, production and research facilities, which has been involved in over 210 space missions.
