Consultant recruits operations director for design division and head of the architecture in Leeds

Consultant Capita Symonds has appointed a new operations director for its design division.

David Cowan joins the firm following 26 years in the British Army where he was chief engineer for over 40 army units across the south of the UK, Brunei and Nepal.

In particular, Cowan devised and developed the plan to consolidate engineering support in the UK base and overseas, enhancing efficiency and achieving significant manpower savings. 

Natalie Sarabia-Johnston also joins Capita as head of the architecture team in the company’s Leeds office.

She comes from Atkins where she was head of architecture for its Newcastle office as well as being business development lead for the architectural team in the company’s Leeds office.

Finally, Capita has appointed Claire Drewery as associate director of acoustics in Scotland. She joins the company from Hodgson & Hodgson where she was principal consultant and business leader responsible for providing a range of services to various clients that included Morgan Sindall, Berkeley Homes, Lovell, St James and Barratts.
