Stuart. As you can see from the photos above we actually did not put in cavity trays below windows. When building in cavity construction here in W Yorkshire, it is normal to have a square cut stone cill with the window masticed on top. This detail with the high exposure on the Pennines can fail, hence the cavity tray. The Denby Dale House will have aluminum extension cills giving far less risk.
