Newlon Housing Trust would like to say sorry to John Walsh (who visited us in a wheelchair in September) and to anyone else who has had difficulty getting into our head office in Hoxton Street in the past
We were all disappointed to see our name in print (1 October) as the visit came, after much planning and consultation, just days before we had our front door automated. It now opens at the touch of a button. We’ve also balanced safety and security in reception by having a hinged section which can be lifted to make the counter lower.
Unfortunately, on the day Mr Walsh came we had a temporary member of staff on duty who wasn’t aware of this. But we’re glad to hear they were friendly. Further feedback from Mr Walsh or any other visitors will be very welcome.
