I am delighted to see the housing sector’s initiative to help rebuild communities devastated by the Asian tsunami (7 January, page 8).

I’d like to see similar drives to tackle the immense problems faced in so many areas of Africa. It seems that the plight of Darfur has been overshadowed or forgotten by many. People there also desperately need our help.
