The BBC has unveiled the shortlist of firms it has invited to tender for its £200m four-year framework deal. Capita Symonds and Faithful & Gould are among the 37 companies on the list.

Those chosen will provide services such as QSing and PM on a number of small to medium sized construction projects on around 140 buildings.

The firms in line to provide QSing are Capita Symonds, Currie & Brown, Cyril Sweett, Davis Langdon, F&G, Gardiner & Theobald and Northcroft.

Capita Symonds and F&G are also on the list to provide design services.

For PM and planning supervision the BBC has shortlisted Bovis Lend Lease, Capita Symonds, Dearle & Henderson, Gleeds, Hornagold and Hills, Johnson Controls, Mace and Turner & Townsend PM.

The BBC was due to hold a bidder event for the shortlisted firms this week to explain what it wants from them during the tender process. Work is set to start in April 2006.
