Architectural aluminium systems specialist Technal, has supplied 500 windows and doors for an award-winning urban riverside regeneration scheme in London developed by St. George.

Brewhouse Lane (pictured) forms part of Putney Wharf – the mixed use redevelopment of an important brownfield site on the River Thames.

Fabricated and installed by East Yorkshire Aluminium and Glass, Technal’s Fxi52 side hung casement windows and balcony doors were finished in crisp white and glazed in clear glass. EYG also fabricated Technal’s MC curtain walling to the penthouses and commercial elements of the scheme. Spans of MC facetted curtain walling, in excess of 4m wide, were used to enclose a striking semi-circular restaurant.

Jonathan Rowe, PRC’s project architect for the Brewhouse development said, ‘Aluminium systems are generally our first choice for apartments and commercial schemes because of their low maintenance qualities and thermal performance. Technal’s systems met all the criteria and we are very pleased with the end result’.
