A hospital that doesn’t feel like a hospital is the tag being given to this £60m Evelina Children’s Hospital in London.

Developed by Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, the building makes use of vivid colours and contains a vast light-filled atrium housing a school play area and cafe.

Hoare Lea was M&E consultant on the Hopkins Architects design, Gleeson was design and build contractor, Buro Happold was structural engineer and Davis Langdon was employer’s agent and quantity surveyor.

The Evelina Children’s Hospital will be showcased at the forthcoming M&E The Building Services Event. For more information visit www.buildingservicesevent.com.
