The Abacus Challenger range of floodlights, in combination with Philips MHN lamps, has proved a winning formula for the Kempton Park racecourse. The venue recently made history by hosting the first floodlit race night in the south of England.
A key planning consideration was the lowering of the high masts when not in use, maintaining the open aspect of the greenbelt and providing a clear field of vision for spectators and broadcasts. Abacus engineered a fully automated raising and lowering system for 42 high masts, 28 of which are of the fully automated base hinged variety.
With a colour temperature of 5600 K and colour rendering index of RA90, the Philips 2 kW MHN-SB Pro ensures high quality for tv broadcasts.
