However, the correct theoretical answer is 4.6m (excluding junctions joints etc), as the length in the question was measured to 1 d.p. therefore the answer can only be given to 1 d.p. of accuracy.

I would suggest that Graham Stow finds a new teacher, before criticising others.

The problem is not with the QS profession but with the mathematical knowledge of society as a whole.
