Designed and manufactured in-house, FAAC (UK) has launched a competitively-priced series of access control products suitable for use with single or multiple gates and doors.

The MAG magnetic card reader and the TAG-10 proximity reader for passive transponders can both be used with vehicle or pedestrian access control systems, and may be wall or column-mounted.

The MAG operates on ISO standard track 2, offering 60% magnetic track reading, while the TAG-10 has a reading distance of 10 cm.

Also available are the TAG-3 and TAG-5 products designed for internal applications.

Meanwhile, FAAC's Viper 400 system management card has memory capacity for up to 400 users, and is able to manage a single gateway or two programmable gateways.

Its sister product, the Cobra 600, allows up to 600 end users in stand-alone mode.

The new access control range also includes a complete radio-controlled system with two or four hand-held transmitters, a receiver unit and a decoder.

Designed for managing two entrance/exit gateways with a two-channel transmitter, the Decoder TTL makes it possible to convert the code of 418 MHz transmitters into a magnetic stripe code which can then be recognised by the Viper 400 or Cobra 600.
