The Association of Composite Door Manufacturers (ACDM) has posted a new presentation on its website covering the current requirements of the PAS23 and PAS24 regimes and the new tests required under the latest Annex D.
The PAS23 section explains environmental performance tests in areas such as latching, hardware operation, air permeability, water tightness, wind resistance, closure against an obstruction, abusive forces on handles, and resistance to vertical loads, static torsion, slamming and hard body impact.
The PAS24 section explains the mechanical load, hard body impact, soft body impact and glazing tests that are the minimum police requirement for Secured by Design homes.
And Annex D discusses the new tests for cylinder vulnerability, thermal cycle and manual cut through, which have been developed by BSi in close consultation with the ACDM, and are helping to create the highest possible standards for residential doors.
To keep up to date with these developments you can view the presentation on the ACDM website: www.acdm.co.uk
