BSIA technical director Alex Carmichael was honoured to be presented with a prestigious award bestowed by The Company of Security Professionals at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel as part of this year’s BSIA Annual Luncheon and Awards.

Alex received the Peter Greenwood Award from Trevor Gray – Master of The Company of Security Professionals – and Past Master Una Riley. The award was presented for Alex’s extensive contribution to the industry in terms of standards development.

Over a substantial period of time, Alex has tirelessly contributed to the development of a vast array of British and European Standards.

Commenting on the Peter Greenwood Award, Alex Carmichael told SMT: “I am surprised and delighted to have received this honour from The Company of Security Professionals. It was particularly apt to receive the award in front of so many friends and colleagues with whom I have worked.”
