Secureseal’s intelligent

tagging system aimed at combating attempted theft from trailers actively transmits trailer door seal information automatically before a vehicle passes the gatehouse, with the status information being sent to either the gatehouse PC or any remote PC via the Internet.

Designated the Secureseal System, it uses radio frequency transmitters with a range of up to 300 metres to provide automatic data as a given cab and trailer passes through the depot gates.

This information would include the trailer identification number, the security seal number, the condition of the seal (ie open or closed) and the date and time the trailer arrived at and departed from the depot. As the data is recorded automatically, company operators can build up a picture of trailer use very efficiently over time.
