Gillian Devine is the new marketing executive at Visimetrics (UK). Armed with a degree in international marketing and boasting four years' experience in the marketing of digital transmission equipment, Gillian will be responsible for exhibition and event management, as well as direct marketing campaigns.

The Inkerman Group – the international risk assurance concern – has appointed Christopher Turner as its operations co-ordinator with direct responsibility for the management of new and existing client enquiries. Turner will also ensure the smooth running of all operations, including specialist investigations and close protection duties.

Having spent the past 19 years with Safeway Stores, most recently as the food retailer's head of security, David Parker has joined international loss prevention company Lodge Service (UK) as a non-executive director. David boasts 42 years' experience in the security arena. For 23 years he served within the military's Special Investigations Branch.

Bob Groom is the new CCTV product manager for Sanyo in Europe. Bob joined the company last year, and has previously been responsible for raising market awareness of its digital surveillance systems among specifiers and consultants.

Checkpoint Systems (UK) – one of the leading providers of digital RF technology-based security solutions for retailers – has announced the appointment of David Nuttall as managing director. David succeeds Neil Matthews, who has been promoted to head up Europe-wide shrinkage management solutions.

The next general manager of Nortag (the brand authentication and retail security solutions division of Norprint Labelling Systems) is James Barker. In his new position, James will be looking to expand the client base of the intelligent labelling division, which is already supplying Asda stores across the UK with its own patented security tags for use on the George-branded range of clothing.

Tom McCann – previously one of the senior managers at Deloitte – is the latest appointment to be made at Newell & Budge's information security subsidiary Celare. He joins as senior risk consultant, reporting directly to Conrad Simpson (the head of information security risk services).

Quadrant Video Systems has continued the expansion of its UK sales operation with the appointment of a new business development manager. Formerly with Sensormatic and ADT, Scott Smith will focus on expanding the company's installation business, supplying CCTV and access control solutions across a variety of key market sectors.
