Peter Ragnarsson has joined high tech security systems business Bell Security, from where he will operate as president of the UK and Ireland businesses of the Bell Group (the former UK-listed plc acquired by Securitas in June this year). Peter began his career with Securitas in 1992. Bell Group’s co-founder and former chief executive Pat Curran is now chairman of the business, which has become the founding base of Securitas’ Security Systems Division in the UK and Ireland.

Experienced strategic marketing consultant David Loble has joined ADP Security Systems as the firm’s new business development manager to head up its forthcoming expansion programme. Loble’s role will be to market the company’s growing portfolio of security and related services to facilities managers, for whom security is critical to the smooth running of their sites. David worked at the Royal Mail for 13 years, latterly as direct marketing projects manager.

Vogon International – the global expert in data recovery and computer forensics – has appointed John Henderson as general manager. With over 30 years’ experience in the IT industry, John will be responsible for developing business opportunities and managing international sales and delivery channels. Prior to joining Vogon, John worked for Silicon Graphics, a leading supplier of visual computing and high performance systems. As services director for EMEA, he was directly responsible for professional services, customer services and systems engineering.

Supporting the company’s recent growth, Network Video Technologies (NVT) has appointed Richard Hancock as southern sales manager. Richard’s technical sales and installation experience spans 15 years, including appointments at VCL/Honeywell Security and Image Surveillance Systems. He’ll now sustain and further develop NVT’s technical sales support function in southern England.

Newell & Budge – one of the UK’s fastest-growing independent IT solutions consultancies – has announced the appointment of Bob Watts as sales director for public services across the UK and Ireland. Reporting directly to chief executive Ann Budge, Bob will assume responsibility for both account development and new business sales, and will have overall responsibility for increasing Newell & Budge’s market share across all of its business lines.

In-cab security specialist Protek-dor has appointed Gordon Waldron as its non-executive chairman. Waldron has held senior management positions within Scania (culminating in his most recent role as managing director of the Scania International Fleet Development business).
