Lynne Griffith
Griffith has been appointed to the post of health and safety manager at Bardsley Construction. She will be tasked with maintaining Bardsley’s health and safety record, which boasts an assessment in excess of the NHBC All Builder Safety average.
Paul Nash
Cyril Sweett has announced the appointment of Nash as director of project management responsible for managing the development of services in the commercial, hotel and leisure sectors.
Tom Holbrow
Bluestone has named Holbrow, 34, as regional business development manager for the South West. Based in Bristol, Holbrow - a director of the Faculty of Building and a committee member of Constructing Excellence - joins the company from NG Bailey and Co, where he was also business development manager.
Phil Hollingworth
Staying with Bluestone, and the company has also appointed Launceston-man Hollingworth as pre-construction manager for the South West. Hollingworth, who joined Bluestone in 2002 was previously commercial manager for the company at its Plymouth office.
John Cottington
Cottington has been appointed as the new director of health and safety on behalf of the Midas Group. This new post will further strengthen the Group’s focus on H&S best practice, including both on-site procedures and occupational health issues for its workforce and subcontractors.
David Duncan
Miller Construction has appointed Duncan as director of safety, health and environment in a bid to enhance the company’s health and safety record and to add value to its supply chain.

Chase Homes (Eastern), a division of Chase Midland plc, has named George Jelley as construction director. Having previously worked for Chase as a construction director for the West Midlands, Jelley has returned to the company to head up the construction role in the East. Also at Chase, Chris Parrott has joined as technical co-ordinator.
Davis Langdon has recruited four new members of staff to its Norwich office. Andrew Warman and Ryan Brough join the expanding project management team as project managers, and Crispin Cockman and Paul Harrowing have been appointed as Senior Project Surveyors.
GMW Architects has announced the appointment of a new partner, John Jackson. Jackson has led teams at GMW on numerous major development projects and his experience spans a wide range of market sectors from retail, residential, and offices through to banking, health, industrial and defence.
Garry Silsbury has joined TPS, the design and project management division of Carillion Business Services, as associate director, aviation planning. He joins from BAA, where he spent many years as a senior manager contributing to major projects at Heathrow Airport. His recent projects have included the safeguarding for the Airbus A380, the new Air Traffic Control Tower, and phase two of Terminal 5.
Mike May has been appointed as executive director of Southern Space, a new development company set up by Southern Housing Group.
May has over 30 years’ experience in housing construction and development, most recently as property director at Peabody Trust.
Bluestone has promoted Andy Fookes to area director based within the company’s Eastern region.
