MDA bring in guru

MDA has brought in a marketing expert to assess new growth opportunities for the firm. Christine Nebel, who joins as associate director, said, “The firm has a good name in the education and residential sectors but needs to have a strategic look at new sectors.” Nebel’s experience includes roles at rival firm Gleeds and contractor Bovis Lend Lease. MDA has also strengthened its project management division by appointing Nicola Tilbury, who was formerly an in-house project manager at the Church Commissioner for England.

HA appoints director

Hipkin Associates, the QS division of consultancy group Tribal, has appointed Mike Sinnott as director at its Dartford office. Mike was formerly at the QS arm of CB Richard Ellis.

FEBC Emirates’ manager

FECB, a firm with offices in the UK, Europe and the Middle East, has made Robert Schraven manager of its newly formed arm FEBC Emirates, which is already working as project and cost managers on a number of schemes in the United Arab Emirates. Schraven had previous stints at Schal and Mace.

EC Harris poaches director

EC Harris has poached former Mace associate director Jon Metters to joins its Liverpool office. Metters joins the firm as associate and will head up a team that looks after education, affordable housing and local government work. EC Harris’ Liverpool office is working on projects such as the John Lennon airport expansion and the Lime Street station gateway project.

Parker Browne associate

CM Parker Browne has also made an appointment at its Liverpool office, making Stan Inskip an associate. Originally from Liverpool, Inskip has moved from Newcastle-upon-Tyne where he was north east operations director for Kajima Construction Europe. He said: “This position gives me an opportunity to play an active role in the development of CM Parker Browne as a major force in the North West.”

Promotions at Trett

Trett Consulting has promoted three staff at its Stirling office. Alexander Dickson and Robert Burt have been made senior associate director and will both work on litigation and dispute resolution work. William Burt becomes associate director and will work on claim preparation and delay analysis.
