Geoff Reynolds

Construction company Bluestone has appointed Reynolds, 48, as business development manager for the company’s Eastern region. Reynolds, who began his career as a site engineer in Welwyn Garden City, will have responsibility for retaining and developing new and existing business across East Anglia and the Northern Home Counties where the company has office bases in Hatfield, Norwich and Cambridge.

David Hurcomb

Hurcomb has been appointed managing director of property services and facilities management company Carillion Services. He is also responsible for Carillion Services’ recently acquired subsidiary PME. Based at Brentford, Hurcomb joined Carillion in March 2005 from Balfour Beatty plc where he was a main board director of Mansell plc. Since 1999 he was a joint managing director at Mansell, responsible for half the group’s operations, together with corporate development.

Colin Harvey

Bovis Lend Lease has named Harvey, 43, as regional director heading the company’s activities in Northern England and Scotland. He moves from his role as regional commercial director in Manchester. Colin has 25 years’ experience in the construction industry, the first nine of which were spent in London before relocating to the North West some 16 years ago.

Graham Howell

Quantity surveyor and project managers CM Parker Browne has named Howell as senior quantity surveyor. Howell will be in charge of for pre and post contract quantity surveying services on the £600m mixed residential and retail development Baltic Triangle scheme in central Liverpool. He will also have responsibility for all projects based at the practice’s Liverpool office.

Kier Eastern, part of the Kier Group, has appointed Nick Bache as divisional director responsible for its operations based at Witham in Essex. He takes over from John Yates, who has retired after 38 years of unbroken service with Kier. Currie & Brown, the international construction and management consultancy, has appointed Euan McEwan as its group chief executive officer.

Davis Langdon’s northern operation has taken on three new staff. Stuart Bethel joins as senior project manager. Also joining the project management team is Donna Harmson and Gareth Chambers who joins as associate.

Boxall Sayer Construction Consultancy has promoted Chris Newman to managing surveyor from senior surveyor.

Bob Heathfield, past president of the CIOB, has become chair of a new business consortium: The South East Centre for the Built Environment (SECBE).

Construction and property consultancy RLF has promoted four staff at its Birmingham office. Jonathan King becomes an associate partner, whilst David Pratt, Nigel Hinks and Graham Black have all become associates.

Alan Sargeson has joined construction, development and investment company The Hurstwood Group as a project quantity surveyor.

Martin Buck has been appointed commercial manager for Crossrail. He has come from Partnerships UK, a PPP organisation jointly owned by the Treasury and the private sector. Keith Berryman becomes acting chief executive officer of Crossrail.

PC Flooring (Southern) has appointed John Cockle and Gordon Smith to its Southampton head office management team. They have both been taken on as contracts managers.
