Price promoted at RLF
Construction and property consultancy RLF has promoted project manager Howard Price to associate. Howard has been working at the firm’s London office since he joined RLF two years ago.
He began his career in 1994 working as a building surveyor for Kemp & Co. He embarked on a career change in 1998 when he joined project management practice RMA.
New Currie & Brown director
Currie & Brown has appointed Jim Ratliff as operations director, UK South.
Jim joins Currie & Brown from professional service provider Jacobs, where he was major projects director.
He has previously worked for Tarmac/Carillon as an executive director of their design arm, TPS Consult.
At TPS, he was responsible for the BAA Terminal 5 and general framework projects as well as several PFI commissions including Great Western Hospital, Swindon and HMP Rhyhill, Onley.
Ratliff also has experience in technical services.
In his new role at Currie & Brown, Ratliff will be responsible for the commercial performance of offices in London West End, Milton Keynes, Crawley, Bristol and Portsmouth, reporting to director of group operations David Murray. He will be based in the London West End office.
Murray said: “Ratliff’s track record and experience will contribute to our understanding of client needs. His appointment further strengthens our operations team, extending existing strong relationships with clients such as Glaxo Smith Klein and the BBC.”
Two moves at Balfour Beatty
Balfour Beatty Management has appointed Mike Grice to head up a new Major Projects Unit to target landmark developments and schemes of national status. He joins from Heery International London (a subsidiary of Balfour Beatty) where he had been since 1995.
Martin Blencowe has been appointed to head the firm’s UK-wide Building Division, including Heery International. He will lead teams in the London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Glasgow offices.
Blencowe joined Heery in 1993 and has over 30 years experience in the industry.
APE adds admin manager
APE Project Management has appointed Rebecca Gosney as administration manager.
