EC Harris grows teams

EC Harris in Hong Kong has appointed Andrew Luk as Asia Pacific FM manager to support the corporate real estate business. Luk, who joined in January 2006, will work with Pacific CRE/retail sector leader Joseph Pereira with clients in the corporate, retail and banking sectors.

Over in the UK a health planning and equipment team has been developed to focus on healthcare projects.

WILA welcomes new PM

WILA Lighting has hired Sean Lockhart as project manager dedicated to the architectural and design community in central London.

Lockhart, who has worked within the specification industry for nearly 12 years, will be responsible for sales of WILA's alliance partners and the firms own compact and office solutions.

Forum hires Wates

The Strategic Forum for Construction has appointed James Wates as chairman following a restructure. Wates joins from the Construction Confederation where he was previously deputy chairman.

The Construction Confederation, which James will also chair in 2006, will take over the secretariat of the forum from the Construction Industry Council.

Four moves at RICS

Brian Berry has been appointed head of UK public policy at the RICS. He was previously head of land, built environment and construction policy.

After 25 years at the RICS, Michael Chambers is to leave in March to work as a consultant, while former head of property policy William Tew will leave on at the end of April after eight years with the group.

Jill Craig has been appointed as the new head of public affairs. She was previously the head of European policy.

Yorkon's new trio

Yorkon has appointed three new members to its team. Andrew Simpkin has been promoted to the position of operations manager. Rebecca Thompson moves up to commercial team manager and the company's new business development for London and the Southeast is Tom Weaver.

CIOB elects Pickavance

Keith Pickavance, a senior vice president with Hill International's London office, has been elected junior vice president of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).

An active member of the CIOB for six years, he has supported a series of masterclasses on subjects such as change management and dispute resolution.
