1 Jonathan Miller

Bluestone has appointed Jonathan Miller as senior design manager for the Midlands. He joins the company from Mowlem, for which he was regional design manager based in Wolverhampton. He will head up Bluestone's design and build team with responsibility for all of the company's design and build projects across the region.

2 Michael Thistlethwaite

Michael has joined the board of cabin hire company Wernick Hire and will be based at its Lancashire office. He will work closely with Wernick Hire's deputy managing director, Simon Doran, developing both new and existing relationships.

3 Thomas Lefevre

Hoare Lea Consulting Engineers has appointed Thomas Lefevre as senior sustainability specialist in the Sustainability Group. He gained experience in environmental design and technologies while working as manager of the Sustainable Development Engineering Team at Alto Ingenierie, Paris, and as a project engineer for Ama Associes.

4 Annette Mulderrig

Schüco International has appointed Annette Mulderrig as client development manager. A key function of her job is to develop and maintain close relationships with key contacts in blue chip companies.

5 Steve Dixon

Steve has joined Bellwinch Homes from Infinity Homes with specific responsibility to indentify and acquire land in the Thames Valley and M4/M40 corridor and west London.

6 Tom Riley

Twigden Home has appointed Tom Riley as construction director. He was previously construction director for David Wilson Homes (East).

Clerwood Construction, a chartered building company and part of the Clerwood Group, has strengthened its management team with the appointments of Carol Anne Buchan as office manager and James McMillan as head of surveying and estimating. They will both be based at the group's head office in Edinburgh and their experience in the industry will be an integral part of the company's planned and continued expansion programme.

Peter White has been promoted to an associate in Hoare Lee Consulting Engineers. He is responsible for managing and delivering Hoare Lee's London public health engineering.

Leading multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy Buro Happold is expanding its operation in Scotland with the opening of a new office in Edinburgh. The new office, which will be the base for up to 15 multi-disciplinary engineers within the first year, will be headed up by Matthew Smith. He has been involved in a wide variety of structural engineering projects including bridges, long span and high-rise building structures, theatres and public buildings.
