1 Richard Wilson

Wilson has been appointed as Kier Managed Services’ new managing director. He is tasked with growing the Cardiff-headquartered FM company’s share of the FM and PFI markets in the UK. Before moving to Kier, Wilson was in senior positions in facilities, property and services management with Mowlem, Johnson Controls and the Erinaceous Group.

2 David Gallagher

In another Kier appointment, Gallagher has joined the group’s Support Services as commercial manager. Based in Tempsford, he is charged with ensuring a consistent approach to commercial strategies and key issues such as risk assessment, profitability and costs across Kier Support Services. A qualified Business Excellence assessor, Gallagher also has specialisms in IT and management accountancy.

3 David Sabine

Previously with the Davidson Partnership, Sabine is now heading up Davis Langdon’s Birmingham project management team. As project management partner, he will be looking after some of the largest projects in

the Midlands region, including Colmore Plaza, The Green Solihull, Walsall College and Park Central. The Birmingham office has grown rapidly since setting up in the city four years ago.

4 John Harmer

Harmer has been brought in by Galliford Try Partnerships as a project manager. Previously with Japanese construction giant Kajima in its UK division, Harmer brings 34 years of industry experience to the construction and house building firm.

Denis Lillie has started as a strategic project director for the 2010 World Cup finals. The former Hyder Consulting director’s first task will be getting South Africa’s stadium build, which is behind schedule due to skills shortages, back on track.

CITB-ConstructionSkills has a new board member: Martyn Price, MD of Bedford-based CMC. He will also sit on the Learning and Skills Council’s Apprentice Ambassador Network, representing the construction sector.

Ray Speroni is Letchworth Roofing’s new construction manager responsible for the contracts and estimating team working on all major new build and refurbishment sheeting and cladding projects.

At Envelope specialist Lakesmere’s Glasgow office David Gray has been promoted to regional director for Scotland and Matt Nicholson is now regional director for the southern region, working from the company’s head office in Winchester. Chris Horsfall has also secured a divisional director position with a nationwide remit.

Galliford Try Partnership has made two key appointments at project manager level. Joining the firm are Richard Chalmers, previously with Furlong Homes and David Wright, who brings more than 24 years’ experience.

Sandy Gilmour has joined Drivers Jonas’ Edinburgh transaction team as a senior surveyor specialising in commercial property development, agency and property investment. He was previously head of agency and development at Roxburgh & Company.
