It is all very well designing buildings to be pleasant and energy-efficient places to work in, but the real effort is needed once the building is complete – to ensure that it works as designed.
Fortunately, as fuel prices rise and clients become increasingly focused on the productivity of their buildings, facilities managers are becoming turning their attention to this aspect of their work.
To this end, the CIBSE Facilities Management Group is running a one-day seminar, ‘Making Your Buildings Work’ on Tuesday 15 November in central London, sponsored by Hays Facilities Management.
This seminar will enable you to improve your building management systems, to avoid many pitfalls and to ensure that your building works well. It will also bring you up to date with the significant impact of Parts L and F of the Building Regulations on the duties of facilities managers.
