Consultant Arup is to work with former US president Bill Clinton and the C40 group of major cities to tackle climate change worldwide

Arup has signed a memorandum of understanding with C40 and the Clinton Climate Initiative to hold free workshops to help each city develop a tailored carbon reduction programme. The first workshop will be in Toronto (right) in September.

David Miller, mayor of Toronto and chair of C40, said: “Cities account for over 75% of global greenhouse gas emissions and we welcome Arup's support, as the battle against climate change will be won or lost in our cities.”
