Property company, Brixton, has launched a new customer services company to be known as B-Serv.
The group plans to use B-Serv to streamline the supply chain with the aim of improving service levels and savings to the customer.

B-Serv, led by managing director Steve Lee, a former Citex director, plans to offer services covering everything from the lifecycle of building occupancy to fit-out, relocation management, building maintenance and facilities management.

'We believe that a real focus on the historically low priority area of contracts management will enhance our tenants' occupancy experience and the value of our properties,' said Lee.

The development of management processes through establishing preferred supplier partnerships has led to cost benefits and improved services across the group.

'We now plan to do the same for asset and contracts management,' Lee added.

Brixton currently provides site security, landscape maintenance, cleaning and insurance across its £1.6bn portfolio of which about 90 per cent is concentrated in industrial warehousing in the South East. The new company aims to increase the value of Brixton properties through a direct relationship with its customers —existing tenants — and services to third party owners and occupiers.
