BAD MEDICINE: Housing could learn from the problems of private finance initiative school and hospital projects such as the redevelopment of Barts Hospital in London, a new report has said.

The study, by Jeff Zitron, director of consultant Hacas Chapman Hendy, said the design of PFI schools and hospitals had been dominated by building contractors with little input from the operators. This made them difficult to use and manage.
