BDP has won planning approval for the construction of a £13 million business school at Napier University's Craiglockhart campus in Edinburgh. The site is currently dominated by the B-listed hydropathic hospital building dating from 1880. The covered space between the existing building and the new flexible teaching block will accommodate learning resources and computing facilities as well as two lecture theatres, one of which will be clad in titanium and provide an 'iconic marker' for the business school. Completion is due in August 2003. BDP is responsible for all architectural and engineering input and Gardiner and Theobald are the cost consultants.
