igus has announced new design improvements to the glide pads and axial fastener of its DryLin R linear bearing, improving load capacity and doubling life expectancy through increased contact area and lower clearance.

DryLin R is maintenance free, simple to install and insensitive to dirt, says igus. The bearings can reach speeds more than four times faster than re-circulating ball bearings, deliver unrestricted acceleration, and are well suited for high frequency, short-travel applications.
