A brilliant new technology developed by a company in the UK could help eliminate areas of counterfeiting fraud. Cambridgeshire-based Colour Secure is developing a patented security and authentication package which could transform the way in which documents and products currently subject to counterfeiting fraud are authenticated and protected.
The organisation is creating its own colour signatures which can be printed onto documents and products including passports, identity cards, event tickets, designer labels, currency, bonds and pharmaceutical packaging to verify them as being totally genuine.
Colour signatures are very small and discreet patterns, printed using security inks developed by Colour Secure and not commercially available. Experts are confident the information held within the signatures will be impossible to access by anyone other than those authorised to do so, and that the signatures themselves will be impossible to copy.

Commercial development is needed over the next few months.
