More than 2300 young people thronged to “Star Academy”, a talent show and media careers fair at Peckham Rye Park, south London, on 17 February. The event brought the 14- to 17-years-olds together with big media names including the BBC and Sky to find out about careers in the arts. The event was funded by the Peckham Programme, part of Southwark’s regeneration department.
