BIG PLANS: Architect John Thompson & Partners got planning permission for this £100m development in St Albans, Hertfordshire, this week. A total of 362 flats will be built including affordable units.

Linden Homes is the developer but the housing association has yet to be named.

A doctor’s surgery, gym and commercial units are in the offing.

Cycle storage will also be supplied and a car-sharing club will be promoted.
