Blitz spirit: London & Quadrant Housing Trust is awaiting planning permission for this development in south-east London on a site left unused after bomb damage during World War II.

The scheme, which was designed by architect Sprunt and will be developed with Lewisham council, will include 29 flats for social rent and eight for shared ownership.

It includes glazed pods on the front of the homes to reduce traffic noise and maximise the intake of natural light.
