BSj has teamed up with BSRIA to launch the Bright Spark Award.

This is aimed at anyone involved in research and development in building services. The award recognises the importance of r&d in pushing the industry forward. Research could be into new products, processes or techniques. This means that entry is open to a broad range of individuals or groups from consultants, contractors, manufacturers or academic institutions.

The judges are looking for ideas in the building services sector, and those which support the environmental credentials of the industry are particularly encouraged. The ideas will also have the potential to create good business and some indication of the likely return would be helpful.

n Entry is free, and you will find a copy of the entry form in this issue of BSj. The Bright Spark trophy will be given at the BSRIA Annual Briefing on 19 November at The Brewery in London.
