IN AN OFFICIAL STATEMENT released only to SMT, consultant Patrick Dealtry – speaking on behalf of the BSI Committee GW/3 – said that, following its latest meeting on 23 February, GW/3 feels there is now “sufficient justification” to review BS 7858.
According to Dealtry, the decision has been driven by three factors – the provision of regulation (the details of which were not decided at the point when the standard was last reviewed), the possibility of including financial probity checks and increasing concerns over identity theft.
