John Moore Security, based in Hull, has installed Bticino’s high-tech door entry system for Witham Wharf, a £26m residential development at the marina in Lincoln city centre.
The system was specified by Andrew Cowling of architect and design consultancy BDP. Due to its aesthetics and functionality, it works off an eight-wire digital format and comprises stainless-steel entry panels with scrolling digital display and combined access/ awareness keypad.
The 114 apartments feature colour-video handsets, while the system is integrated into a concierge switchboard for security control to and from the main reception area.
The Bticino system has also been used for the disabled-refuge system, using a flush-mounted Viva Voce hands-free audio unit, which signals to an intelligent switchboard. The disabled-refuge system has battery back-up to ensure operation during power failure.
M&E contractor for the project was Watson Norrie’s Scunthorpe office.
