Three Building Homes journalists have been shortlisted for the Halifax: Laing Homes Press Awards.
Assistant editor Alex Smith, technology writer Mark Brinkley and columnist Malcolm Pitcher have been all been nominated in the awards, which will be held at the Millennium Hotel in Grosvenor Square, London. Malcom Pitcher is Building Homes' regular contributor on marketing and runs his own consultancy, In-house Research.

This will be the 13th year Laing Homes has sponsored the awards and with 140 entries submitted it will be the biggest yet according to a Laing Homes spokesperson. The awards ceremony will again be hosted by John Laing executive chairman Sir Martin Laing CBE despite the recent announcement that he will be stepping down next January. The spokesperson said any decision about Laing Homes sponsoring the awards next year will not be affected by the sale of Laing's construction arm to subcontractor O'Rourke last month.
