Bennetts Associates is converting a London town hall into a theatre

Bennetts Associates has unveiled designs for the conversion of a grade-II, north London town hall into a theatre.

The building in Hornsey in the borough of Haringey will be home to a new drama school for Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.

Bennetts Associates - the architecture practice behind the highly-acclaimed overhaul of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon - will restore the thirties art deco building, which was originally designed by New Zealand architect Reginald Uren.
