Project will be the cornerstone of the town’s ’Station Gateway’ scheme

Outline plans for a major redevelopment of Northampton railway station have been approved.  The £25m project, designed by BDP for West Northamptonshire Development Corporation and Network Rail, is the cornerstone of the town’s “Station Gateway” regeneration scheme, which incorporates a series of brownfield sites along the River Nene. The programme has the potential to deliver 70,000m2 of commercial development, creating up to 4,000 new jobs.
