The Grand Arcade retail centre was covered by Admaster support panels
The roof of the Grand Arcade retail centre in Cambridge was covered by 4,000m2 of Admaster’s composite support system panels. The composite panels consist of a PIR insulation core sandwiched between an outer steel sheet and a white polyester-coated steel inner liner. Architect Chapman Taylor said it specified the panels because it enabled a safe working platform to be established at height and because the system was virtually waterproof, allowing work to continue inside the building while the roof was finished off. The roof was capped using a Rheinzink pre-weathered standing seam zinc sheet.
