Inviron has been awarded a £6.5 million contract to provide m&e services on the PFI scheme at Burnley General Hospital.
The scheme will be built within the existing perimeter of the old Victorian hospital site. The Phase V project on behalf of East Lancashire Healthcare NHS Trust includes a dedicated rehabilitation outpatients area integrated with specialist inpatient areas.
Inviron will install a wide range of electrical systems including electromagnetic screening, lv distribution and containment and voice and data. It will also install the hospital’s mechanical systems, including medical gases, renal water installation and thermal insulation. Bovis Lend Lease is the main contractor.
