Security systems training provider Tavcom training has been honoured at the annual Portsmouth News Business Excellence Awards.

Sales director Paul Tennent was presented with a 'Highly Commended' award in the Small Business of the Year category.

The panel of judges had been impressed by Tavcom's strong growth over the preceding 12 months, as its range of BTEC training courses and dedicated SIA licensing courses for control room operators attracted record numbers of delegates to its Hampshire Training Centre.
