Having given the good ship Glass Age the best years of his life – well, just short of 20 years to be more precise – Richard Schwarz has finally hung up his hat as Glass Age Editor to risk his future in the wonderful world wide web:

‘As the last member of the original Glass Age Dream Team – Peter Butler (20 years service), Debbie Sheppard (15 years (now Debbie Schwarz of course!) and Martin Gray (12 years) – and only the third editor since the magazine’s launch in 1958, I am happy to be leaving the magazine in good hands, namely my good friend and colleague Dominic Bentham.

‘I shall be joining Debbie on The Site Optimiser business, which tweaks websites to increase relevant traffic, and also The K&BZine, a weekly email newsletter to the kitchen and bathroom industry.

‘I shall also be setting up a new service which helps companies to maintain communication with their customers and staff through email and internet.

‘I am extremely proud to have been associated with the market leading title for such a long time and I am confident that Glass Age will continue to dominate as the best source of information in our market for a very long time to come.

‘This is because our strength is our readership. I am not Glass Age, I have been but its humble servant. As long as you, our readers, continue to talk to us, and air your views and news through us, you own Glass Age.

‘So keep it coming!’
